Manish Wadhwa: on cloud nine!
Manish Wadhwa, who played Kali in the recently concluded Kohinoor has bagged nothing less than a lead in the next Ram Gopal Verma movie, Shabri.
"Yes, I am doing Shabri, I play, Vilas who is Shabri's (Isha Koppikar) right hand man. They spotted a hoarding of Kohinoor and appraoched me for the character. I could not meet them because I was in Bangalore, but then they were nice enough to wait for me to come back," says a visibly pleased Manish.

The modest actor says that the excellent styling of Kali in Kohinoor got him noticed, but we all know that without his histrionic skills the character would have fallen flat on its face.
"In the film, we are three friend from the ghettos and a lot of dirt and mud has been used to get that jhopad patti look. It took around one-and a half hours to create Isha's look. But one good thing is that I am seen on screen as I am...no getups for me this time around," says Manish.
The actor is all praise for his co-stars and says that nothing in the film looks

artificial -- and he would know. The actor has alreday completed the first schedule and will start the second some time in mid January. The film will be released tentatively by March-April.
"It's a dream come true for any actor to be cast in a Ram Gopal Verma movie, and its really a dream come true for me as well. But I wanted to do good roles...and this is the best thing that could have happened to me," smiles a contended Manish.
