DDLJ which completes a glorious and uninterrupted run of 1000 weeks at Maratha Mandir today has been mesmerizing audience ever since its release in 1995. And In the ever growing list of SRK’s DDLJ fans, it’s time to add the name of one more Bollwyood actress, Priyanka Chopra. The actress who was in still in school when the movie released has fond memories about the same. Interestingly, her friends thought she (Priyanka) bore an uncanny resemblance to Kajol and infact used to call her Kajol’s lookalike. “I was in school when DDLJ released and my friends used to say that I look like Kajol. I also used to have curly hair like Kajol did and used to take it as a compliment whenever people called me her lookalike. I also used to dance to Mere Khawabon Main Jo Aaye.” Talking about DDLJ’s historic 1000 week run, Priyanka said, “I think it’s a classic that has not just created a cult but also created a culture. I wish DDLJ and everyone associated with it good luck.” Priyanka however stopped short from revealing her favourite moments from the movie. When we asked her about the same, the actress curtly replied, “The movie as a whole is my favourite. I can’t dissect it.” Meanwhile, SRK and Kajol are all set to visit Maratha Mandir today to celebrate the momentous 1000 week anniversary.
