US President Barack Obama quotes SRK's DDLJ line in his farewell speech

US President Barack Obama

Bade Bade Deshon Mein Aisi Choti Choti Baatein Hoti Rehti Hai...a famous dialogue of SRK from DDLJ that every Indian is well aware of. Now imagine the world’s most powerful man mouthing the same.

That’s exactly what happened at Siri Fort auditorium in Delhi where US President Barack delivered his blockbuster farewell speech. Pressing all the right buttons, Obama punctuated his speech with Hindi words like Namaste, Dhanyvaad much to the delight of the packed audience.

But the one that got him a thunderous applause was when Obama unbelievably said, ‘Senorita, Bade Bade Deshon Mein…or something like that. You know what I mean.’ The audience erupted and Obama couldn't help but break into a smile looking at the reaction generated on mouthing King Khan’s most famous movie dialogue. We are sure somewhere up in heavens Yash Chopra must be beaming with pride today.

The Bollywood connect was also amply visible when tunes of Mitwa from Aamir Khan’s Lagaan played in the background for a brief moment.

Whoever helped Obama write his farewell speech is evidently well tuned-in on the current affairs of tinsel town.
