The series is made to cater especially to the Mumbai audience. The plot of the episode will revolve around urban life, its tensions and problems. "Special Squad chooses subjects and solves cases which our viewers can associate with easily. Mumbai Unsafe is another step in that direction," says Ravi Menon, Programming Head, Star One. It has episodes involving the murder of celebrity cops, murder of an actress, kidnapping of children, and also the drama involving stamp aper scam accused.
