Manasi Varma, who plays Monalika in Star Plus' Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii will play a rough and tough cop in Sony's CID Special Bureau. Manasi is the only item girl to have hit tellydom, her number in KKoi Dil Mein Hai, set the screen on fire. She plays both negative and positive characters with such elan that makes the men go gaga over her. "Yes, it is a very different character, and that is the reason why I decided to do this role," says Manasi, who is leaving for the US to be part of Harry Anand's dance troupe.

"Yes, it is a very different character, and that is the reason why I decided to do this role," says Manasi, who is leaving for the US to be part of Harry Anand's dance troupe. Just back from Mauritius, Manasi is now busy shooting for three serials --- Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, CID Special Bureau and Kaisa Ye Pyar Hai. So much to do and so little time, how does she relax? "I spend time with my friends and parents whenever I get the time. I am friends with Karishma Randeva, and I hang out with her as well. When I am at home, I read magazines...," says Manasi. Two of the three serials that she is a part of, are produced by Balaji, so does she have a soft spot for the production house, we ask --- "I don't care if people call me a Balalji girl. I am happy working for Balaji, mostly because I feel at home here," says this petite girl, who apart from acting is also a kathak dancer and a trained classical singer. Recently, Manasi has also been nominated as the best behen (sister) in Star Parivaar awards, and she is looking forward to the moment when she will walk away with her prize. So who is her latest crush...."hmmmm.....hmmmm...I'll skip that," says Manasi with a sigh. On the lookout for a man who is tall, dark and handsome --- with brains put in. Men, and all these qualities....ever heard of such a thing? Sorry Manasi, it seems that you are in for a long search.
