MUMBAI: Ruhaanika Dhawan has charmed everyone with her impeccable acting skills in Star Plus show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. The actress took a long break to complete her studies but now she is game to take interesting projects.
TellyChakkar had learned that Ruhaanika would make her comeback on TV with a new daily soap, however, Dhawan told us exclusively that she is not doing any TV shows for now. She also revealed that she would love to feature in movies or in OTT projects.
In an exclusive chat with TellyChakkar, Ruhaanika said, "I am looking at doing projects on big screens or on OTT. I can't do TV for now because of my academics. I am still an undergraduate and for me to take up a TV show as it would mean to put my academics on hold; that's something that I can never do. TV medium requires one to shoot daily for long hours and I won't be able to manage my studies along with it."
She said, "I'd love to take up an intense role in a project wherein I can give my 500% and showcase what I'm made of. I'm aware such scripts are rare, but that's what excites me and I'd love to do something like that in the near future."
When asked about being approached for Zee TV's Chhoriyaan Chali Gaon, Ruhaanika said, "My mother got a call regarding this Zee TV show wherein a set of girls try to survive in a village. I thought it was a great show and a very cool concept. However, because I am a minor, I couldn't be a part of the show. Most of the reality shows have an eligible age of 18 years to 21 years. Maybe in a few years I will be able to do one of such intense reality shows (chukkles)."
Ruhaanika is currently training under Saurabh Sachdeva's Actor's truth. Talking about the same, she said, "I have taken up an acting course and that's taking up a lot of my time. I think it is one of the best decisions that I've made. I am enjoying it and having a lot of fun. I actually never really had actor friends. There, I have people closer to my age that I'm gelling around. I am getting to learn a lot and I am loving it. It has just been a week but I can already feel the changes in me and I think it is going to be a fun ride."
We wish you all the best, Ruhaanika!
