I miss my regular work the most - Roop Durgapal

Roop Durgapal

Actress Roop Durgapal who got a lot of name and recognition for her portrayal of Sanchi in Colors’ long-running show Balika Vadhu ‘simply’ misses being part of the milestone show now!!

However, she keeps bumping into her co-actors from the show, to keep the camaraderie going.

Recently, Roop met up with a few friends like Shashank Vyas, Toral Rasputra and many others in a party hosted by Roop’s on-screen father in the show.

“Yes, I do miss being with my friends in Balika. But after working continuously on the show for two and half years, I miss my regular work the most (smiles). You can always wish to meet up with the co-actors if you feel like, but one will not get back the happiness of being part of the regular shoots on the show, after being done with it,” says Roop.

Roop has been using this free time to good use. “I have been working out on my singing abilities. I have lost a lot of weight with my regular work outs in the gym. I plan to take up swimming too. Also, I have given myself a makeover, by giving my hair a lighter shade and shedding off the black tresses.”

Ask her about what she feels about the new-look Balika Vadhu now, and she states, “I have not got time to catch up with the new episodes. But I happened to get a glimpse of the new girl, who plays Anandi’s daughter. She seems to be too good, and looks really cute. I wish the team of Balika Vadhu all the very best. As an actor, this show has given me a lot, and I will always wish and pray it does well.”

Roop was recently seen attempting comedy genre in Big Magic’s Akbar Birbal. On the kind of roles she will want to take up in future, the pretty lass avers, “Yes, Akbar Birbal was a good relief, and provided me a chance to attempt something different. In future, I will want to portray the role of a strong girl who would spread a lot of awareness. In short, I am looking for a good lead role.”

Roop, wish you luck!!
