End of the road for Ye meri life hai???

Indian television's favourite Gujju beti might finally bid audiences adieu come this November! With a slew of new shows all ready to launch on Sony, Ye Meri Life Hai might be shown the door sooner rather than later. Indian television's favourite Gujju beti might finally bid audiences adieu come this November! With a slew of new shows all ready to launch on Sony, Ye Meri Life Hai might be shown the door sooner rather than later. Our sources tell us that the show might be relegated to a nondescript, 7:30 pm slot beacuse of the shows that have been woven around Indian Idol, which is round the corner. "Ye Meri... might go off air or maybe it will be shifted to a different slot. This is because of the upcoming shows on Sony that require the 10:30 pm slot. And of course if we get the go ahead, then I have an amazing storyline lined up for the viewers", says producer, Optymistix,Vipul D. Shah. It has altready been reported by Telly Chakkar that Sony has a host of new shows lined up for the next two months -- two shows that have been channel drivers for Sony for the last couple of years, Jassi...and Ye..., might make way for reality shows and other programmes of the alternative genre. The channel's plans not withstanding, the end of this show, will surely sadden many a Gujju family, but perhaps the worst affected will be the actors who form Pooja's family. We spoke to a few of them and asked them about their future plans. Rahil Azam (Ashmit) seemed clueless regarding the latest developments. "Even if it goes off air I have Saarthi in hand and then I want to take a break for two months or so. It's great working with the cast and crew of Ye meri life hai, we share a very homely atmosphere, even at work," says the actor. Kruttika Desai (Maya) is in the know of things and she has no qualms about speaking about her future plans on the telly, or the lack of it. "I will not be doing anything for the next two months after this show gets over as I will be directing a play for Akansha, an NGO working for underprivileged children. The play, called, Kabir and his rangeen kurti will be staged on 4, 5 and 6 December. I'll be doing it with around 100 kids," says Kruttika. Simple Kaul (Reema) seemed tightlipped about her future plans. "I will be doing a college based daily show produced by UTV on Hungama. I will be playing a character, who's a tomboy."
