MUMBAI : Krishna Mohini starred Debattama Saha and Fahmaan Khan in the key parts, but would shortly be taken off the air. The show is expected to bid adieu to the audience on August 5, 2024 which was launched on April 29, 2024. According to a report, the producers informed the unit of the development yesterday. The news greatly disappoints Ashita Dhawan, who portrays Srijita Thakkar in Krishna Mohini.
Ashita Dhawan is upset that people do not enjoy seeing the LGBTQIA+ show. She disclosed that the producers had told the team that the program would conclude on August 5 if ratings didn't increase.
She revealed, “This is disheartening because our audience constantly asks for new and different content. Here, we explored a progressive subject, focusing on the LGBTQIA+ community, and it didn’t resonate. Does this mean our audience doesn’t want to watch something new? They seem to prefer run-of-the-mill content and are reluctant to accept unique subjects.”
Ashita also confessed that the show didn’t get enough time to engage with the audience. She said, “It went on air on April 29, and we have learned it might wind up due to low ratings. However, viewership has increased since last week, indicating that people are slowly warming up to our content. The show deserves a second chance. How can it rake in numbers overnight? It needs time.”
According to Ashita, the makers could have shifted the program to the OTT platform. According to the actress, performers can give their all during a performance, but ultimately, the audience must accept it. When it comes to Krishna Mohini, prominent roles are portrayed by Ketaki Kulkarni, Apeksha Malviya, Anoushka Chauhan, Naveen Saini, Jaya Ojha, and others.
