MTV ready with second soap

The second soap on MTV is ready and set to launch on 14 November -- Pyar Vyar and all that. The show will be aired Monday to Thursday at 8:00 pm. Although the channel is yet unwilling to talk about the show, the first soap after the Balaji produced Kitni Mast Hai Zindagi ended earlier this year, we know that Pyar Vyar is produced by Cinevistaas, is primarily shot in Goa and deals with teen issues. Our sources tell us that the show has taken up issues like the MMS scandal in Delhi Public School and others, and targets the urban population.

Our sources tell us that the show has taken up issues like the MMS scandal in Delhi Public School and others, and targets the urban population. The content of the show is drastically different from other teen shows like Remix, both in terms of treatment of issues and content. The central characters are four friends who deal with the ordeals that life deals out. The promos are alreday on air and by the look of it, is a different show. Balaji Telefilms, the makers of KMHZ, were supposed to do another soap for MTV, but the deal seems to have got stuck midway, while Cinevistaas bagged the second show. The actors are all new and have been chosen after extensive auditions, we hear. The promotional activities of the show will be underway in a couple of days and outdoor activity (read hoardings) will be up in a few days. It's about time that shows based on teen issues are dealt with sensitively and this show seems to be a step in the right direction.
