Romit-Srishty reprise Big B-Rekha for SAB TV's Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi

Romit Raj and Srishty Rode

Remember the iconic Amitabh Bachchan – Rekha number ‘Teri Rab Na Banadi Jodi’ from the movie Suhaag?

Well, Romit Raj and Srishty Rode will reprise the same cute moment in their SAB TV show, Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi (Deepti Bhatnagar Productions).

And for Romit, the moment was huge, as being an Amitabh Bachchan fan, he simply loved getting into the avatar of a Sardar. And identical to the song’s backdrop in the movie, Romit and Srishty will be seen joining hands in clearing the misunderstanding between Srishty’s sister and her lover. And by the end of the song, they would bring peace between the lovers.

Talking about the awesome moment, Romit told us, “Yes, it was a wonderful feeling to dance to the Big B number from the movie Suhaag. I have grown up seeing the movie and the song, so performing to it gave me immense pleasure.”

On the pleasant coincidence that happened, Romit said, “It so happened that being a staunch Big B fan, I decided to frame his autograph on the wall of my living room. And in the next 24 hours, I got the opportunity of dancing to his song in my show (smiles). I was so excited about it; the song has come out pretty well. I even tweeted to Sr. Bachchan about me performing on his number for my show.”

Here is a picture of Romit and Srishty in their Amitabh-Rekha getup.
