I believe there is nothing like 'Pranayam' to de-stress yourself - Ekta Kaul

Ekta Kaul, the lead protagonist in Star Plus’ popular show, Mere Angne Mein (Sphere Origins) is happy with the response she has been getting for her show and role.

According to her, the show is unique for the fact that it is aired on a one hour slot on a daily basis. But this usually puts the entire unit to a more hectic schedule than usual, is what she believes.

So Ekta is of the point of view that a good de-stress activity is essential to soothe her body and keep her calm and healthy.

Talking about the rigorous schedule and her idea of motivating herself, Ekta states to Tellychakkar.com, “Well, it really puts actors in a tough situation as we need to deliver a one hour episode daily. We start shoot at sharp 9.30 in the morning, and get a break only for lunch. So it can get tedious at times. Hence I make it a point to do pranayam every morning before I get to my set. I meditate only for 10-15 minutes, but I believe there is nothing like pranayam, as it energizes the whole body from the inside.”

“After a hard day of work, I make it a point to run on my treadmill for at least 20 minutes. As actors, we need to keep our body in the right shape, and with all the time constraint, I can manage only this,” adds the actress.

Ask her about her life pattern on an off day, and she is quick to say, “I love to get as much of sleep as possible when I am not shooting. Guess there are different phases in a person’s life – as a student we love to explore more, but when we start working, we look for various options to just take it easy and relax. If I am not sleeping, I happen to be at the spa.”

Ekta who has had her share of controversies in the industry shares, “You cannot satisfy everyone at the same time. Yes, there were reports of me being ousted from my show, owing to unprofessionalism. Well, viewers are still seeing me as Riya, and if I was ever unprofessional, I would not have been allowed to continue (smiles). I believe that one needs to put in all the hard work, and leave the rest to God. I am doing my duties well, and will want my work to speak for me.”

Ekta, we wish you lot of energy and luck…
