Team Goyenda Ginni on picnic spree

Goyenda Ginni

It seems the team of Goyenda Ginni (Zee Bangla) believes in the mantra ‘work hard, party harder’!

Wondering why do we say so?

Well, we hear from our sources that the entire team of the serial took a day off from its hectic shooting schedule to have some gala time far away from the hustle-bustle of city life.

When we buzzed the leading lady of the serial, Indrani Haldar, who according to our source was the brain behind this idea, to know more about the picnic, she shared, “We all are so tied up with our works throughout the year that we hardly manage time for any recreational activity. So, I thought why don’t we go for a picnic this winter? We were planning since the last one month which finally materialised last day. And trust me we had a blast. It was a much needed break.”

Sharing more about the picnic, she said, “We had our picnic at Burul, which is nestled a few more miles away from Bakrahat near the Ganges. The journey was so exciting. We had to hire two buses as we were a team of eighty people. We also put a banner of Goyenda Ginni on our busses.  All of us sang and danced in the moving bus throughout the journey. And yes, red, black and white were the picnic dress colour,” she added with a smile.

The lady expressed that the best part of the picnic was people of all ages participating in the games with equal enthusiasm. She said, “We had organised a lot of fun games like hariphatano (a game where participants break an earthen pot with their eyes blindfolded) and guli chamoch (a game where participants have to balance a marble upon a spoon and race with it to the finishing line). Trust me, while participating in the games we all had become completely childish.”

“And guess what... I cheated in the game of hariphatano. They covered my eyes in such a way that I could see everything. Well, I didn’t protest and broke the earthen pot in style,” she added with a naughty smile.

A picnic without scrumptious food is incomplete. So we were curious to know about the menu. She said, “We gorged on luchi, aloor dom and sweet in breakfast and in lunch we relished delicious food items like daal, torkari, alubhaja, mutton, chicken etc.”

It surely was a grand picnic, team Goyenda Ginni
