Actor-director Honey Chhaya, predominantly known for his Gujarati films and plays, passed away on February 28 after a brief illness. According to reports, the maverick actor was hospitalized in a Mumbai hospital following a low sugar attack.
When his condition worsened, he was put on ventilator. He passed away in the evening. He was an associate writer with Salim Khan and is said to shaped Salman Khan’s career.
He was seen in Hindi movies in The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Firaag, Being Cyrus, Oh My God, and What’s Your Raashee? among others.
