Youth shows are really colourful: Swati 'Mastaangi' Kapoor

Swati Kapoor

Pretty, intelligent and bubbly, Swati Kapoor, is definitely the young soul, but already has a couple of shows in her kitty.

The lady, who essayed prominent roles in shows like Kaali– Ek Agnipariksha and Hamari Saas Leela, has been missing from action for few years. Now, back with Channel V’s latest venture Mastaangi, the lady will be seen portraying the character of Udita/Ria, dedicated, brave soul.

Ask her about the reason for her absence from screen for so long, with a gentle smile Swati replies, “Well it’s just that, after working for a long period, I wanted to take a break from everything. I just wanted to relax for a while, hence was the decision”.

So, after doing family dramas, do you think youth shows will be more relatable with the audience? “Of course yes. Youth shows are much colourful and one can easily connect with those. And such stories also focus on real life problems, which gains popularity among viewers”.

Finally we asked her about her big screen aspirations. And Swati quickly quipped, “Everyone keeps an eye on Bollywood and plans for having a career in film industry. Even I am hoping for the same. Let’s hope that it happens soon”.

We wish you luck lady.
