I worship acting: Anshuman Malhotra

Anshuman Malhotra

The fans of Anshuman Malhotra of Warrior High fame must be jumping with joy as they will soon witness the young lad in an upcoming series Nagarjun (Beyond Dreams) on Life OK.

Hailing from Kanpur, Anshuman always dreamt of joining the Indian Army before his focus shifted on cricket and then on to acting. Like every other youngster at their late teens, even Anshuman was a lost young lad before he found his true calling in acting.

Anshuman, who is now much focused about his career, believes that acting has changed him for better. “I was never very serious about my future, but acting has completely changed me. Even during my Warrior High days, I was not so serious about my life, but I became too disciplined after joining Nagarjun. Now, I worship acting; I have joined gym and putting much effort for the role of Arjun.”

For the uninitiated, Anshuman’s girlfriend Sanaya Pithawalla was supposed to be a part of Nagarjun, before Puja Banerjee stepped in her shoes. Ask him whether he is sad or not, with a shy smile, Anshuman replies, “Yes, things didn’t work out for Sanaya. Definitely, if we would have worked together, things would have been great, as our compatibility is superb. But, now, I am happy to work with Puja and we share a good, healthy rapport.”

Talking about his experience of working with veterans like Tabu and Vishal Bhardwaj in the film Haider, Anhsuman staes, “I remember my very first scene with Tabu ma’am and I was too nervous to enact. But, apart from being an ace performer, such a gentle human being she is that she came up to me and helped me.”

We wish you more success Anshuman.
