Saniya Touqeer

Talented young kid, Saniya Touqeer who essays the role of Manpreet in & TV’s Waaris (Viniyard Films) recently battled a bout of high fever with medications, but stayed put on set to shoot for her scenes in the show.

A source from the show reveals, “Saniya had been unwell, was down with viral fever. However, since she was required for almost all the scenes, she did not take an off from shoot. She managed to grab some rest during breaks, and is now on the road to recovery.”

The coming track will be a very important one in the show, as Manpreet will start her education by going to school. And Saniya is happy that she has gotten back to the pink of her health for the crucial track.

As per the ongoing track, Manpreet has completed the challenge given by Amba (Aarti Singh), to tie the sacred thread by climbing the tree. From tonight’s episode, the school track will start airing, wherein Manpreet will be exposed to the outer world where Amba will not be there to guide her.

Our source states, “Soon, the track will focus on Manpreet’s problems in school, and Amba’s dilemma on how to overcome Manpreet’s problems. The first hurdle for Manpreet will be the usage of the wash room. Being a girl, she would want to use the wash room for girls, but will not be able to do so. At the same time, the girl will be embarrassed to get into the boys wash room. Above all, Manpreet will wonder how to interact with the boys in school, whether to follow her basic instinct as a girl, or behave friendlier with boys since she is a boy now.”
