I will make a mark irrespective of whoever is in front of me: Siddharth Arora

Siddharth Arora

Siddharth Arora is back with a bang after his Godly performance in SAB TV’s Krishna Kanhaiya.

Back in a rustic avatar, Siddharth is happy to have bagged the lead role in Zee TV’s Meri Saasu Maa (Mumtaz Saba Productions).

After Krishna Kanhaiya, the actor faced a mix of good and bad. While he enjoyed his time travelling to few places including Kashmir, he broke his hand while playing soccer. This actually restricted him to do anything for nearly 3-4 months. But now, Siddharth is hale and healthy and has started to work out in the gym.

We at Tellychakkar.com got in touch with the actor who was thrilled about getting back to the grind. According to him, lot of reasons influenced him to take up this role. “Firstly, I am happy to be back with Zee TV after Doli Armaanon Ki. At a phase when the TV space is filled with female oriented subjects, I have got a role that is very powerful. The man is a male chauvinist. Also I am happy to be associated with Swastik Productions, as I have never worked with them earlier.”

On his look and character, Siddharth said, “Bunty is a rich guy without class as he is not much educated. I am back to sporting a long hair look with beard. I have been enjoying my stint and all is good.”

Meri Saasu Maa has had a change in story line with the addition of the new male lead in a bid to pull up the numbers. When questioned about this, Arora quipped, “See, there is no assurance of a new show working well on TV. So it is untrue to say that only the new shows will give you success. I believe in investing in a show where we can take memories. TRP is something that is not in our hands. All I can do is to do justice to my character and enjoy it while it lasts.”

On the controversy related to Pearl V. Puri’s probable return in the near future, we asked Arora about his thoughts of sharing screen space with the original lead. “As an actor, I have never taken a back seat. Even in Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha, Kunal (Karan Kapoor) was there when I joined. I created my own space. I surely know that I will make a mark irrespective of whoever is in front of me. That can even be Mr. Amitabh Bachchan.”

On his expectations about being part of Meri Saasu Maa, the confident actor stated, “Actors on TV are not stars. That is why even the show with Amitabh Bachchan did not create magic. However, in movies, even a bad Salman Khan film will work for the stardom he enjoys. As I said, I will enjoy playing the role. I will also keep a check on what’s happening in the show. But I will also believe that TRP is not the right parameter for success.”

Wish you luck, Siddharth!!
