Seasoned TV actress Shivani Gosain is happy and satisfied to have debuted on the big screen with the Sunil Subramani directed movie, Fuddu. As we know, this romantic comedy hit theatres on 14 October.
Says Shivani, “I am glad with the responses got for Fuddu. People appreciated my screen presence. The best part is that I had a prominent role to play. The entire team of Fuddu gelled like a family, and it was fun shooting with them. I have known Sunil; he’s an old friend. He was associated with Anurag Basu for 12-15 years. When Sunil offered me this role, I had no queries to ask, and grabbed it.”
Fuddu was the story of a boy who came to the dream city of Mumbai and found it difficult to adjust with the reality of living in a chawl, wherein one needed to adjust to the cramped space. The movie had Shubham and Swati Kapoor in lead roles.
Shivani feels that the movie got noticed for its unique title. “The title was very unique. When I heard it for the first time, I laughed because in the North, people use this word very often. In fact, the feedbacks got for the movie have been awesome. In the market, the movie is called as ‘Chota packet bada dhamaka.’ People came in to watch the movie with no big expectation, but went out with a happy frame of mind.”
Shivani who was last seen in Yeh Vaada Raha, is on a break from TV at the moment. “Yes, it’s been 10 months since I did my last TV show. I am looking for a good body of work. My career goal is to do good work.”
Shivani’s body of work on TV includes shows Kasautii Zindagi Kay, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Love U Zindagi, Rang Badalti Odhani, Piya Ka Ghar Pyaara Lage.
Here’s wishing you luck, Shivani.
