Kunal Jaisingh as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Star Plus’ Ganesh Utsav

MUMBAI: Star Plus is gearing up to bring out a power-packed episode for Ganesh Utsav with several celebrities joining the brigade to entertain audiences. Sanjeeda Sheikh, Nakuul Mehta, and Shakti Mohan are a few among them.

Kunal Jaisingh aka Omkara of Ishqbaaaz is all set to surprise the audiences with his performance as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Kunal will be seen in a historical outfit in Shivaji Maharaj’s look. Kunal says, ‘It was an absolute delight playing the legendary Shivaji Maharaj. The whole process of getting ready, from the make up to the hair to the costume, although time consuming was pleasurable.’

Kunal, who has never played a historical or mythological character, is happy that the makers thought of him to play this character.

According to our sources, Sachin Pilgaonkar will also be a part of this episode and will narrate the story of Shivaji Maharaj.
