‘True Blood' alum Anna Paquin joins 'The Affair' for the final season

Former True Blood actress Anna Paquin will have a role in the upcoming fifth season of hit drama The Affair.

Paquin is expected to play the adult version of Joanie Lockhart, Alison and Cole Lockhart's daughter, reported by media publications.

The season's upcoming ten episodes will also let the characters explore how "everything does really fall apart in the end, but somewhere in that wreckage, the seeds of change finally sprout," according to a press release from Showtime obtained by Entertainment Weekly.

Following the news on Friday, The Affair creator Sarah Treem expressed her excitement on Twitter.

"To say we're happy to welcome Anna Paquin, would be the understatement of the century," she tweeted.

"Been a huge fan of hers for as long as I can remember. We can't wait to show you all this final season."

In response, Paquin echoed her thrilled message and shared that she was looking forward to joining the cast. "Super excited to join you all"

The show's executive producer Jessica Rhoades also sent a congratulatory tweet to the actress, saying, "We're so thrilled and lucky to welcome Anna Paquin to The Affair."

News of Paquin joining the cast comes after it was announced over the summer that Ruth Wilson would not be returning for the show's final season. Her departure left fans speculating about the real reason as to why she chose to move on.

Kim Kardashian forced to evacuate her home

Reality TV star Kim Kardashian-West was forced to grab much of what she could in an hour and flee her home on Thursday night.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star revealed that she had just arrived back to her Hidden Hills property to find that her neighborhood was under threat from a wildfire that was burning out of control.

Kim, 38, had originally filmed the flames from her private jet only to find on landing that those flames were part of the Woolsey Fire burning near hers and Kanye West's compound, reported by media publications.

Sharing the aerial video she had filmed earlier on her Instagram Stories, Kim explained to fans she was evacuating and asked them to "pray for Calabasas."

"Just landed back home and had 1 hour to pack up & evacuate our home. I pray everyone is safe," she wrote.

Kim thanked the first responders for keeping the community safe before recording the firetrucks and police cars driving down her neighborhood's streets.

"They're evacuating everyone right now from all of our homes," she said in the video as she watched on from her car.

The widespread fire also impacted surrounding areas including Calabasas, where Kim's sister Kourtney lives. Kourtney also chose to evacuate.

"I pray that everyone is kept safe and protected from these fires. No Calabasas tonight," she wrote alongside a photo of her car trunk packed with bags.

Katie Price blasts police for leaving her 'shaken and scared'

Singer Katie Price has blasted North Kent police after she claims she was left feeling "shaken and scared" following a stalking incident.

The 40-year-old mother-of-five was shopping in Bluewater when she claims an individual harassed her and took photos of her, reported by media publications.

She shared a picture of the alleged man on social media, writing, "This person has just harassed me and police did nothing and let him go... What the f**k police are here to help."

"Bluewater police enabled this man to harass me, stalk me and take photos of me and not help me I'm scared and shaken up," she further added.

A spokesperson for North Kent police told MailOnline, "Kent Police officers on patrol at a shopping center in Greenhithe on Thursday were stopped by a group of people at around 5.45pm who made an allegation of harassment by a member of the public.

"Whilst no criminal offenses were identified, officers spoke to all parties involved and a man was given words of advice.

"He was subsequently escorted off the premises by security staff."

Katie has had a few run-ins with police of late.

On Tuesday, she allegedly refused to get out of her car when officers falsely believed she was disqualified from driving.

Kelly Ripa begins filming with husband for 'Riverdale'

Actress Kelly Ripa jokes with husband Mark Consuelos as she began filming for Riverdale as his mistress.

After announcing that she would be starring alongside her husband on the CW drama, the two headed to work together on Thursday and documented their day on their respective Instagram stories, reported by media publications.

"I'm usually against his mistresses but this time I'll make an exception," Ripa, 48, joked alongside a shot of the couple in the car heading to set.

"Bring side piece to work day," added Consuelos, 47, in his own funny Instagram stories post.

Later on, Ripa shared a video featuring the married couple of 22 years, where they made awkward small talk to create sexual tension.

At one point, the Live with Kelly and Ryan host announced that the duo was hanging out in her husband's trailer, to which Consuelos responded with, "What could possibly go wrong?"

He then stared into the camera with wide eyes and raised eyebrows, before Ripa turned the camera onto herself and copied her husband's facial expressions.

While most of their followers found their adorable banter and PDA to be incredibly amusing, there were two people who did not: the couple's eldest children, Michael and Lola.

In response to their video, Lola, 17, replied with one simple request. "This has got to go," she wrote, which was screenshotted and shared on her mom's Instagram stories. Ripa also added the caption "Proud daughter" over the message.

Just minutes later, Michael, 21, responded to the video and echoed his sister's sentiments. "I agree with Lola," he wrote. But two complaints were too much for their mom, who jokingly captioned the second message with "I'm about to block my whole family."

Ripa and Consuelos also share son Joaquin, 15, who remained mum on his parents' public affection.

Happy there's finally a microphone on the voice: Robin Wright on #MeToo

Actress-director Robin Wright is happy with the #MeToo movement in Hollywood and says that there is finally a microphone on the voice so that people "wake up and change the bad".

The #MeToo movement began in Hollywood last year with The New York Times reporting multiple sexual assault allegations against Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein. It led to the opening of a Pandora's box of complaints against celebrated personalities like Bill Cosby, Morgan Freeman and Kevin Spacey, who shared screen space with Wright in Netflix's political thriller series House Of Cards.

Asked about the #MeToo movement in Hollywood, Wright said, "...I am just happy that there is finally a microphone on the voice so that people wake up and change bad habits...

"I think it's great for the whole new generation of kids... Yes, we have always been taught the difference between right and wrong, but we are going to have a new lesson about right and wrong and I think that kind of movement shines a light... Teaching a new way of operating and being decent. We have lost decency."

Trouble for Spacey started when actor Anthony Rapp claimed that he sexually assaulted him when he was 14.

Following the allegations, Spacey apologized to Rapp, but claimed that he didn't remember the encounter and said that he now will "choose to live as a gay man".

This opened a box full of troubles for Spacey. More allegations were made against him. He was fired from the show and removed from the film All The Money In The World too.

Talking about dealing with the crisis with Spacey's exclusion from the series, Wright said, "The crisis was going on... It was a current affair... Everybody was shocked and alarmed it was hitting the news and multiple things. People were hitting the news on a daily basis and because the climate was so sensitive and hot at the same time... It was a conversation that we all had...

"Me, the showrunners, Netflix -- we said 'you know what we need to take a pause here, let the dust settle and really digest and what do we do collectively. Let's decide... And ultimately, I wanted to continue because we would have put over thousands of people out of employment in the state of Maryland..."

In the current atmosphere in Hollywood, how's it to be an actress?

The Golden Globe winner said in response to the question by a leading publication in a press conference, "I don't know because finishing House of Cards six years great run having tasted the field of directing, I don't feel like an actress right now and I am seeking out things to direct more than acting right now."

Wright has gone behind the camera to direct House Of Cards. The first two episodes were directed by filmmaker David Fincher. She was here for Netflix's See What's Next Asia event.

Wright says direction was daunting at first for her.

"In the beginning, it was daunting because I actually believed I was sailing the ship. It was all up to me... But as a director, you are dependent on all of the other departments and we are all architects of that building (story). The production designer, castings and prop department... Having every department head be a part of your vision...We all did it together," she said to the media.

Diego Luna to appear in 'Star Wars' series

Actor Diego Luna will star in a new Star Wars series, which will be a prequel to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Luna will reprise his role as rebel spy Cassian Andor, the cocky daredevil who helped Felicity Jones' Jyn Erso steal the Death Star plans in the hit 2016 movie, reported by media publications.

"Going back to the Star Wars universe is very special for me. I have so many memories of the great work we did together and the relationships I made throughout the journey. We have a fantastic adventure ahead of us, and this new exciting format will give us the chance to explore this character more deeply," the 38-year-old said.

The series will telecast on Disney's upcoming streaming service. The company has also tapped Jon Favreau to write and executive produce another Star Wars TV series titled The Mandalorian, which centers on a "lone gunfighter" and his adventures.

Gigi, Bella Hadid walk together for a fashion show

Supermodel sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid walked together for Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

Gigi and little sister both made their third walk down the runway on Thursday night, donning lingerie and ultra-chic looks, but were without their signature wings, reported by media publications.

Gigi, 23, hit the runway in a futuristic-floral ensemble with built-in heels and a patterned parachute behind her. She completed the look with matching earrings and let her long brown locks hang in loose curls.

Later on, the model changed into all-plaid, sporting a purple brassiere and undergarment, strappy thigh-high black heels, a billowing one-sleeved green cape, and a red pouch around her waist.

As for Bella, 22, she was dressed in black strappy lace undergarment with a white Victoria's Secret logo trim and a matching black lace bra. To make the look edgier, Bella wore a black crop satin bomber jacket, white mid-calf socks with black stripes, and black stilettos.

Also in attendance to support their ladies were Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, whose wife Behati Prinsloo kept blowing him kisses, and actor Dylan Sprouse, who clapped and screamed for girlfriend Barbara Palvin.

Earlier in the day Bella, who was diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease in early 2012, exclusively told to the leading publications that she was feeling healthier and stronger this year than she has been before.

Martin becomes 'mess' after separating with Gwyneth

Coldplay rocker Chris Martin has confessed that he was 'a mess' after splitting from his wife Gwyneth Paltrow in 2014.

Martin struggled after he and his wife, who are parents to Apple, 14, and Moses, 12, famously announced they were consciously uncoupling, leading Chris' bandmates to fear for his wellbeing, reported by media publications.

Speaking in a new documentary film Coldplay: A Head Full Of Dreams, Martin said while the band toured their album Mylo Xyloto, he felt "completely worthless and nothing to anybody".

"I was just like, 'I'm a mess', really, because I can't enjoy the great things around me. Then, of course, I went through a break-up with Gwyneth. Listen, I'm never going to moan, I'm grateful for everything, but it was pretty touching and go," he continued.

Both Martin and Gwyneth have moved on. Martin is currently dating Fifty Shades Of Grey actress Dakota Johnson, while Gwyneth married American TV director Brad Falchuk in September.

Ben, Jennifer celebrate divorce with ice-cream trip

After getting divorced, actor Ben Affleck and his ex-wife Jennifer Garner went on an ice-cream outing to celebrate their official split.

The former couple, who got officially separated on Thursday, spotted enjoying ice cream together with their six-year-old son Samuel here, reported by media publications.

Ben - who recently completed a stint in rehab for alcohol addiction, wore a checked shirt for the outing, while Jennifer also dressed casually in a beige jacket, white t-shirt, and blue jeans.

Also, according to the reports, a private judge has officially signed off on the couple's divorce papers which were submitted to an LA County Superior Court judge earlier in November.
