Kanchi Singh will NOT be a part of Yeh Rishta

MUMBAI: Star Plus popular Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (Director’s Kut) is gaining a lot of popularity with its ongoing track, wherein Kartik and Naira (Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi respectively) are giving their all in mending the differences of the family, while Samarth is trying hard to create trouble amongst them.

The recent promo of the show has excited viewers. The teaser showcased the Goenkas, Maheshwaris, and Singhanias celebrating togetherness. Then, Gayu enters, leaving Kartik and Naira surprised. The face of Gayu was not revealed.

The character of Gayu was earlier played by actress Kanchi Singh. TellyChakkar has exclusively learned that makers are looking for a fresh face for the role of Gayu. A reliable source shares, ‘Kanchi will not be playing the role of Gayu. We are looking out for a fresh face. Auditions are on.’
