Mahayatra cuts short Shraddha's journey

Siddhanth Cinevision's three-months-old Shraddha starring Neha Janpandit and veterans like Sudhir Dalvi and Sukanya Kulkarni is going off-air this month. The show was launched in September and the channel has decided to pull the show abruptly. Confirming the news, an actor on the condition of anonymity said, "Yes, the show is going off-air and the last date of telecast is January 15. We were informed of this decision a couple of day ago. There was confusion regarding the show right from the beginning. The show was not launched on time and we kept waiting for a launch date for months. Originally made for the afternoon slot, the show was launched at 7 pm. The channel didn't even promote the show properly and there were no hoardings or advertisements of it. "We have been told Mahayatra, a reality show, will be replacing Shraddha. The two shows are very similar to each other as both of them are about taking your parents to a pilgrimage. We were of the opinion that the show will be shifted to the afternoon band but were shocked to know about its going off air. The show TRPs were picking up." We texted producer Manish Goswami but he didn't revert. Manish Goel,host of Mahayatra, confirmed the news and said, "The new promos declaring the time and launch date are already on-air and we are launching on January 18 at 7 pm." A non-fiction show replacing a serial with a similar concept - well, we hope this time, the yatra is not cut short!
