MUMBAI: TV actress Srishti Jain made her television debut with Star Plus's Suhani Si Ek Ladki as Krishna. She then went on to essay the role of Durga in Star Plus's Meri Durga. Presently, she portrays the role of Jaya in Sony TV's Main Maayke Chali Jaaungi Tum Dekhte Rahiyo.
Srishti recently shot for Jasbir Singh's Glamorama Calendar and looks absolutely ravishing in a peach gown. She is generally seen in sarees and salwar kameezes in the show and looks completely different in the new avatar.
Ask her about her makeover and she says, ‘TV gives us less opportunity to dress in Western outfits, so shooting for the calendar was a dream come true.
I feel the all credit goes to my stylists for the confidence that I had when I wore the dress. It is important to carry off the dress well.’
Srishti, who looks like a glamazon, will surely go places after this shoot.
Main Maayke Chali Jaaungi Tum Dekhte Rahiyo chronicles the antics of a sweet and gullible bahu, Jaya, who keeps threatening her husband that she will go her mother’s house. Set in Bhopal, the series shows how over-interference of parents can become a hindrance to their children’s independence after marriage.
