MUMBAI: Actress Shivangi Verma has been to Kashmir couple of years back and she has some great memories from heaven on earth. Since the time Shivangi has heard about the sad incident she is feeling helpless. Sharing her take on the same she says,”The 22nd April terrorism attack in Kashmir has truly shaken me to the core. My heart goes out to the souls we lost and to their families. Kashmir has always been a symbol of heaven on Earth but incidents like these remind us of the deep scars left by terrorism. It was one of the most peaceful places I had ever visited. When I was there it was almost like stepping into a dream. The valleys, mountains, local cuisine, local people all were so beautiful, it was a perfect holiday for me.” She adds,”But after what has happened I am not sure going back again. The fear will linger because such incidents leave a mark that’s hard to erase. In fact I can see a lot of initiatives being taken to promote the Kashmir tourism - right from the normal tourist to celebrities - want us to go back to Kashmir. But one thing people are forgetting that the incident took place when there was no security and it is tough to imagine a visit to Kashmir without the tight security. I pray for healing and peace for the families who have lost their near and dear ones. And most importantly safety for our country.”
