MUMBAI: On 14 February 2019 a convoy of vehicles carrying security personnel on the Jammu Srinagar National Highway was attacked by a Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist, in the Pulwama district, Jammu and Kashmir, India. The attack killed more than 40 CRPF personnel. To avenge the death of the CRPF jawans, 12 days after the Pulwama massacre, Indian Air Force attacked the terrorist camps in Pakistan in the wee hours of the morning and destroyed them completely.
After the attack, many personalities from the entertainment world took to social media to salute the Indian Air Force.
Comedian-actor Kapil Sharma too expressed his pride on the same as he tweeted, “Proud of our #IndianAirForce #IndiaStrikesBack #titfortat #neverforgetneverforgive salute #JAIHIND”.

A few days ago, Kapil’s show The Kapil Sharma Show got mired in controversy due to Navjot Singh Sidhu’s comment on Pulwama Terror attack. He had said, “For a 'handful of people', can you blame the entire nation and can you blame an individual? It (the attack) is a cowardly act and I condemn it firmly. Violence is always condemnable and those who did it must be punished." The controversy intensified when Kapil showed his support towards Sidhu.
