MUMBAI: Bobby Darling has been a part of several Bollywood movies including Chalte Chalte and Fashion and TV shows like Kasautii Zindagii Kay and Kyunki Saas Bahu Kabhi Bahu Thi. She rose to fame when cast in the first season of reality TV show Bigg Boss. Born Pankaj Sharma, married as a woman following a sex reassignment surgery (SRS). However, she has sought dissolution of her marriage on grounds of cruelty, cancellation of an October 2016 gift deed of a flat in Oshiwara, and Rs 2 crores in alimony.
Her husband, Bhopal-based businessman Ramneek Sharma, has questioned the very validity of the wedding under the Hindu Marriage Act.
The divorce petition filed through lawyer Bhavna Jadhav mentions that both the individuals are Hindus and that Bobby Darling underwent an SRS in November 2015 to become Pakhi Sharma, before marrying in February 2016 in Bhopal, read a leading media portal.
The divorce petition is also a plea for ownership declaration of a Bhopal property. It mentions that it was purchased with her ‘hard earned money but in joint names under pressure, misrepresentation’ during an abusive marriage. It has been alleged that the gift deed was executed under ‘coercion’.
In 2017, Bobby had accused her hubby of domestic violence and demanding dowry. She had filed a police complaint against him and had also alleged that Ramneek was physically violent towards his elder brother and mother as well. She had talked about her disturbing experience to BT that time
