MUMBAI: Renowned television personality Prince Narula, often hailed as the undisputed ‘King of Reality Shows’, continues to dominate the small screen with his undeniable charm and sharp instincts.
With an impressive track record that includes winning MTV Roadies 12, MTV Splitsvilla 8, Bigg Boss 9, and Nach Baliye 9, Prince has firmly cemented his place in the annals of Indian reality television.
While his early claim to fame came through competitive reality formats, Narula has also showcased his acting prowess in several fiction serials, expanding his reach and versatility as a performer.
Currently, he has returned to MTV Roadies—this time as a mentor—where he guides and motivates aspiring contestants as they navigate their journey on the show.

In an exclusive interview with TellyChakkar, Prince opened up about his concerns regarding the direction in which reality shows are heading. Sharing his candid thoughts, he remarked, “I agree that reality shows are losing their essence these days.
Contestants come in after watching older seasons, and that changes everything. Back when we began, there was no pressure no script, no expectations we just acted on instinct. But now, with the constant scrutiny of social media, everyone is overthinking their every move.”
Addressing a growing trend in casting, Prince added, “It’s unfair to put seasoned individuals with years of experience in the same space as complete newcomers. You can’t make a fair comparison, and that’s where things begin to spiral. What’s even more troubling is the growing obsession with contestants’ personal lives—bringing in exes or current partners. That’s crossing a line, and in my view, it has serious consequences for someone’s mental wellbeing.”
With his heartfelt insights and no-nonsense approach, Prince Narula continues to stand out as one of the most respected voices in the industry.
As reality TV evolves, his perspective serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of authenticity and mental health in entertainment.
