Mouni Roy is certainly living one of the best phases of her professional life. She already has three films in her kitty including Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, John Abraham’s Romeo Akbar Walter, and the Rajkummar Rao starrer Made in China, and  now she has bagged another Bollywood project.  

Yes, the actress has bagged her fourth film, and in it she will be seen opposite none other than the powerhouse of talent, Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Titled Bole Chudiyan, the film will star Nawazuddin as a passionate lover, while Mouni will be seen as a fierce and lively small-town girl. The film is Nawazuddin’s brother Shamas Nawab Siddiqui’s debut directorial, and the story is set in the town of Budhana in Uttar Pradesh. Apparently, actresses Shraddha Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha were also in the race, but finally, Mouni Roy bagged the female lead role.

In an interview with a leading daily, Mouni said, “I’ve just read the script once and I am already in love with it. While I can’t reveal much, I can just say that she’s a confident girl who thinks on her feet; she can ride a tractor and dance like a dream. Actually, I am still discovering her qualities, drawing parallels and making my notes. I’m going to have more readings with the writing team and the director to get deeper insights into the role before we start shooting. The most endearing quality of my character is that she’s real and she speaks her heart. This is the first time I’ll probably play a full-on Hindi film heroine and I can’t wait to start.”

Mouni is excited to work with Nawazuddin Siddiqui. She further expressed to the publication that she cannot believe her fortune that she is getting to work with him.
