Samarth Goenka aka Samir Onkar to make a COMEBACK in Star Plus' Yeh Rishta...

MUMBAI: One of the longest running shows on television, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, will soon see the reentry of a popular character.

Remember Samarth Goenka, who hated his family, Kartik, and Naira because they were everyone's favourites? The character was played by Samir Onkar, who was seen in a negative role and created several problems for the lead couple before he finally turned positive.

Samir will now make a comeback in the show.

As we all know, Naira has lost her memory. The promos suggest that she will regain her memory during the festivities of Holi. Well, Samarth will have a big hand to play in reuniting Kartik and Naira.

We contacted Samir on the same. He expressed, ‘I largely played a negative character in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, and post that, I was waiting for the show to come back to me and show me in a positive light. I had a couple of projects I was approached for, but Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is a good opportunity, and I am very happy to be back on the show. Having played a negative shade, I am excited to see how my characters grows in a positive way.’
