MUMBAI: TellyChakkar exclusively reported about Disha Vakani’s brother Mayur Vakani, who plays her brother in the show as well, still being a part of the show.
There were reports about the actor quitting Taarak Mehta. However Mayur refuted all the rumours and mentioned that he will continue to be part of Taarak Mehta until the show is on (Read here: I am not quitting Taarak Mehta, says Disha Vakani’s brother Mayur).
Now, talking about Disha Vakani’s comeback, it is still a mystery if she is returning in the show.
There have been reports about the makers at Neela Telefilms sending a notice to Disha Vakani stating that if she doesn’t return to the show in 30 days, she will be replaced.
Show producer Asit Kumarr Modi has cleared the air by issuing a statement regarding Disha’s 30-day notice, 'We have been very cooperative from the beginning. Since her daughter’s birth, we have been waiting patiently, giving her space as new mother. But eventually, a show has to go on. Nobody can wait indefinitely. The character of Daya has to come back in Gokuldham society. If Disha is unable to come back because of her personal issues, then we will be left with no option but to replace her. Regarding the said notice, there has been no ultimatum issued. However, show must go on with all the principal characters. It's time she took a decision and informed us. As for Mayur Vakani, he is very much in the show.'
