MUMBAI: Troubled times loom for one of television’s most adored couples, Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim. The much-loved actress is set to undergo surgery after doctors discovered a tumour near her liver, a development her husband Shoaib revealed in a heartfelt vlog.

Just a few weeks ago, Shoaib had taken to his YouTube channel to update fans about Dipika’s deteriorating health.

At the time, he disclosed that medical professionals had found a tumour close to her liver, though its nature—whether benign or malignant remained uncertain.

Now, in a recent video shared with fans, Shoaib has provided a more detailed and emotional update. He revealed that the past several days have been incredibly difficult for the couple.

Dipika had been suffering from a high fever since Friday, which unfortunately delayed further medical tests. However, her fever subsided by Monday, allowing doctors to proceed with the crucial diagnostic procedures to determine whether the tumour is cancerous.

Shoaib expressed that while he may not be able to provide daily updates due to the gravity of the situation and their emotional toll, he promises to keep fans and well-wishers informed whenever possible.

He also extended heartfelt thanks to everyone who has been sending their prayers, messages of support, and good wishes during this trying time.

“I truly appreciate the outpouring of love and concern from everyone,” Shoaib said. “We are going through a tough phase, but your prayers mean the world to us. Please continue to keep Dipika in your thoughts.”
