Tik Tok queen Aashika Bhatia’s take on Tik Tok ban
The recent ban over the hugely popular video creating and social networking app Tik Tok has sent the 128 million India users in shock, while others are breathing a sigh of relief. The Madras High Court requested Google and Apple to ban the access of the app for new users over the concern of spreading pornography and extracting of information illegally from children through the app. Tik Tok became a sensation among the youth, a medium of earning money and an addiction for many.
Probably one of the most popular Indian Tik Tok stars is Aashika Bhatia, who has approx eight million followers on the app. During a candid chat with a publication, she spoke about the issue. She said, "The team has not informed us anything about it yet, but I would say people should not just rely on it, the wise thing would be to have a back up. For now, I have the app and I am still using it, in fact, those who already have the app can still use it, only new people cannot download."
When asked about the concern of pornography spreading through it, she said, "Tik Tok is not the only platform where all of it is happening. Some other measures should be taken to curb it."
Colors’ Kesari Nandan to star Dakssh Ajit Singh
Colors' Kesari Nandan is about to see some major turning point in the storyline. Kesari, the main protagonist of the show, is having a hard time and going through situations that are beyond her control. These situations are becoming a hurdle on her way to achieve her dreams of becoming a wrestler.
During her struggle, Kesari comes across Bhairon Singh, a trained wrestler, and convinces him to take her under his wings and give her the professional training as a wrestler. Bhairon Singh's character will be essayed by popular television actor Dakssh Ajit Singh.
Speaking about his role, Dakssh said to media, "I am excited to play this character as this is unlike the roles I have played in the past. It feels great to be a part of the show that supports and encourages women empowerment.”
Telegu TV actresses pass away in road accident
Telegu TV actresses Bhargavi and Anusha Reddy met with a car accident on Wednesday in Vikarabad district of Telangana. The accident resulted in the death of the two. According to the reports, the duo was returning from their shoot and two others were accompanying them.
The police report stated that the car driver Chakri tried to avert collision with a truck that was heading from the opposite direction and hit a tree near Appareddy Guda on Wednesday early morning.
The actresses wrapped up their shoot of their upcoming TV show on Tuesday night and were returning from Ananthagiri forest (Vikarabad) to Hyderabad. The incident took place near the Appareddy bus stop in Chevella. Bhargavi was dead on spot, and Anusha succumbed to her injuries as she was being shifted to the hospital.
Injured Chakri and Vinay have been shifted to Osmania General Hospital in Hyderabad for immediate medical attention.
Anusha (21) was an aspiring actress from Jayashankar Bhupalapally in Telangana. Bhargavi (20), who was the resident of Nirmal, had played female antagonist in popular TV show, Mutyala Muggu.
This upcoming Amazon thriller ROPES in this BIG NAME
Amazon is planning big and doing everything in the capacity for its upcoming thriller Utopia. Big name, John Cusack, is all set to make his series regular debut with Utopia.
According to a report in The Hollywood Reporter, the nine-episode, straight-to-series project from Sharp Objects and Gone Girl author Gillian Flynn is a remake of a British show from writer Dennis Kelly that aired in 2013-14.
It follows a group of young adults who as per Amazon's log line reads, "meet online and are mercilessly hunted by a shadowy deep state organization after they come into possession of a near mythical cult underground graphic novel. They discover the conspiracy theories in the comic's pages may actually be real and are forced into the dangerous, unique and ironic position of saving the world."
Cusack will play Dr. Kevin Christie. Charismatic and media-savvy, he has a brilliant biotech mind and a philanthropic outlook. Christie altruistically wants to change the world through science. Cusack is the latest big name to make the jump to TV, joining the likes of Meryl Streep (HBO's Big Little Lies), Al Pacino (Amazon's The Hunt), Dennis Quaid (Netflix comedy, Merry Happy Whatever), Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin (Netflix's The Kominsky Method) among others.
This Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actor & wife are together again
Popular actor and singer Amit Tandon, who made his TV debut as a contestant in the first season of Indian Idol, filed for divorce with wife Ruby Tandon after going through a rough patch in their marriage. But, the jail term of Amit's dermatologist wife seems to have changed things between them. The couple is giving their marriage a second chance and they are now living together again.
Amit confirmed the same and told a leading daily, "Ruby is slowly getting back to work. She has unbelievable strength, I would have gone mad if I was in her place. Our relationship is still work in progress, but we are friends again, at least we know we can depend on each other. We are living together as a family and I'm glad I get to see my daughter every day."
For the uninitiated, Amit's wife got arrested in Dubai's Al Raffa Jail in August 2017 as Dubai Health Authority accused her of threatening a few government officials. During her jail imprisonment, Amit was always there for Ruby as well as daughter Jiyana. After spending ten months in Dubai jail, Ruby finally came out of jail in September last year.
On the TV front, Amit made his acting debut with Ekta Kapoor's popular show Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hai. Later, he went on to feature in various popular shows like Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi, Dill Mill Gayye among others. He is best known for playing the role of 'Subbu' in Divyanka Tripathi and Karan Patel's much-loved show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. He was last seen in popular Colors show Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki.
This Colors show is going off- air
Colors TV's popular show, Roop - Mard Ka Naya Swaroop, which features Shashank Vyas and Donal Bisht in lead roles of 'Roop' and 'Ishika' respectively, started last year in May with huge expectations. However, the show failed to garner expected numbers, and recently various reports suggested that the show will go off-air next month, in the second week of May. Now, 'Roop' lead actor Shashank Vyas too has confirmed that the show is indeed going off-air after a decent run of one year.
Speaking about the same, Shashank told a leading daily, “Roop is ending as every good thing comes to an end.” The actor is satisfied as he played the title role. The character of Roop was different from Shashank Vyas' previous roles and he gave his best to the show. As an actor, he will make sure that he chooses different roles in future as well.
He further added that he got encouraging feedback for the show which showcased him in a different light. “Every actor feels sad when a serial ends but the show must go on,” he said.
Digangana Suryavanshi's next move
Digangana Suryavanshi became a household name for her performance in Ek Veer Ki Ardaas, and then she went on to shine in movies. She bagged not one but two movies together wherein she played the lead role alongside popular Bollywood actor Govinda. After Bollywood movies, Digangana is now making her debut in Telugu industry with her upcoming movie Hippie.
The movie is set to hit the theatres on 7th June. Digangana took to her Instagram handle to announce the release date of her film.
