It's samba time for Amit Dolawat and Jaswir Kaur

She is 94 years young. Yes, she is 94 and we are still calling her young as she exemplifies the fact that age is just a number. We are talking about one of the greatest and finest dancers of the world, Tao Porchon Lynch. She is coming to India today, 10 January 2012, and her discipline Sandip Sopparkar, one of India’s ace choreographers, has arranged a felicitation ceremony in her honour. Sushmita Sen and Asha Parekh will felicitate the dancing sensation. But there is one actor who is super kicked about the entire event. He is none other than Amit Dolawat of Sasural Genda Phool fame. Reason? He will set the stage on fire along with Jaswir Kaur – CID fame –with a sexy samba performance. Says Amit, “I enjoy dancing Latin forms and I am completely hooked to it. Jaswir and I perform occasional Latin jigs sometimes at friend’s parties but this is the first time we both are going to give a stage performance together. We are both excited and geared up for it, especially because Sandip Soparrkar himself has choreographed our performance. Jaswir and I are dancing to celebrate the always dancing attitude of the legendary Tao.” Furthermore, the uniqueness of the event would be all the Latin ballroom dance forms like the rumba, samba, cha cha cha, jive and the tango being performed on Hindi and Bollywood songs by different celebrity performers. The event is at Sheesha Lounge, Juhu, tonight at 7 pm.
