The show was already proving to be a turkey for the channel and to add to the misery, the lead actor of Star’s Tere mere sapne, Saurabh Pande has been replaced. The actor who has stepped into Pande’s shoes is Yash Pandit who is also seen in Hum dono hain alag alag. Where sources from production house say that it was the starry attitude of the actor that cost him the role, Pande refutes the allegations.
Pande clarifies, “As an actor I always try to put in my best to make the character believable and to do that I need time to work on the dialogues and mannerisms. The only issue was that I had requested script for five episodes in advance so that I could work on my character accordingly, which didn’t go down well with the authority. We work for 15 hours a day whereas, as per the contract an actor is expected to work for just 12 hours. As a result I am left with only eight hours for my personal needs. Even then I wasn’t complaining. All I had asked for was the script in advance which could have only helped the show. I have never shied away from work and people who know me will vouch from my dedication, conviction and sincerity.”
The actor claims that he wasn’t even informed that he was being replaced. “I shot on Friday and on Sunday I heard that I have been replaced,” Saurabh states.
Despite repeated attempts, Yash Pandit remained unavailable. Producer Sunjoy Wadhva of Sphere Origins too didn’t respond to our text message.
