MUMBAI: The episode sees how Kartik and Naira are at loggerheads when he decides to fight for Kairav's custody. Later, Naksh and Manish consult a renowned lawyer. Vedika initiates a conversation with Kartik, but in vain, as Kartik avoided her as much as he thought is polite. Seeing Kartik’s indifference for her, Vedika wishes that Kartik loses Kairav’s custody and that Naira would leave them alone with her son. The next morning, Kartik and Manish meets Damini, the best lawyer for the job. Damini tells them that it was her job to get Kartik Kairav’s custody and nobody would ask her questions of how she would do her job. 

Manish agreed to her demands and tells her that as long as she knew what they wanted, they would not question her. Damini requested Manish to give her the list of other family members, as she wanted to speak to everyone to gather proofs. Gayu also wished that Naira get Kairav’s custody, as she feared for Vansh’s existence in the Goenka family. Just when Kartik and Manish were leaving, they bump into Naksh, who was waiting to meet Damini. Damini tells Naksh that he was late and that she had committed to Kartik before he came in and that now she would not be able to take his case. 

Naksh comes home and breaks the news to Naira. Naira worries, as Damini commits to Kartik for Kairav’s custody. Just then, Kartik calls Naira to inform her about the legal proceedings. Naira requested him not to rush but Kartik informs her that they had scheduled the hearing for the next day. Damini calls Kartik and instructed him to say exactly what she had told him to. Kartik hesitated to put blame on Naira but Damini stresses that during the custody hearing, people tend to go out of their way to gain sympathy. Here, Naksh and Naira go to meet Mr. Kumar and appointed them as their lawyer. Naira and Mr. Kumar decided to fight the case on the basis of truth, however, Mr. Kumar made it clear that Damini would use all possible way to put them down in order to win the case.
