Ajay Rohilla and Suhasini Mulay in Jamuniya

After making his presence felt in Ekta Kapoor’s Pavitra Rishta as Archana’s (Ankita Lokhande) father even though for a short while (till he was replaced), seasoned actor Ajay Rohilla will now be seen in Beyond Dreams’ Jamuniya in a negative role. The last time he turned dark was for the critically-acclaimed Bandit Queen. A source informs, “Ajay Rohilla will be seen as the antagonist. He plays a manipulative Brahmin Mahapandit who is exploiting the uneducated villagers as his sole aim is to rule the village. He wants the protagonist of the show at any cost. Along with him will be seen popular actor Mohan Joshi. The show also features Suhasini Mulay and Bhavna Khatri will play the lead role. She was also in Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil.” We tried contacting Rohilla and Mulay but both remained unavailable. Producer Yash Patnaik too didn’t revert to our text. The show is set against the backdrop of Chattisgarh and is a story about a girl who loses her parents at an early age, and is brought up by her relatives who consider her as a bad omen. Manmohan Tiwari – remember him as one of Rakhi’s suitors in her swayamvar, too will be seen in the show.
