MUMBAI: Actor Sandeep Anand’s short film ‘Method Acting ka Bhoot’ has won him Best Director and Best Debut Director Awards at multiple film festivals ending 2019 on a cheery note for him.
Sandeep who donned the hat of a director first time won the Best Director Award at Lake City International Film Festival which serves as a premier film festival in Delhi and was founded to showcase and award the leaders in contemporary film making. He also won the Best Debut Director Award at Uttar Pradesh’s the Ayodhya Film Festival that was started to showcase ‘Awam ka Cinema’.
The actor who was last seen in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai has directed for the first time. Speaking on the occasion Sandeep said; “I am happy and grateful to the Lake City International Film Festival and Ayodhya Film Festival, the audience and the jury for considering ‘Method Acting Ka Bhoot’ and awarding us. When we set out to create this project, we thought of breaking all stereotypes to present quality content to global audiences over a free platform. I am happy that people have enjoyed the effort, I owe this success to the entire team who has worked hard on the project. These awards motivate me to work harder and show the entire spectrum of emotions on screen revolving around various themes and messages.”
Sandeep who began his career with Sun Yaar Chill Maar has been one of the most loved television actors known for his various characters in FIR and May I come in Madam. Coming from a theatre background, Sandeep started acting at the age of seven.
