Why did Amazon Prime’s Afsos not stream on launch date?

MUMBAI: Amazon Prime Video web original series Afsos, helmed by Only Much Louder, was slated to stream from 17th January 2020, but it simply did not.

The suspense drama is a dark comedy about a suicidal man, a maverick monk, and a deadly assassin amidst the realm of immortality. The eight-episode series is co-created by Dibya Chatterjee and renowned comedian Anirban Dasgupta

It was said to feature Gulshan Devaiah, Anjali Patil, and writer of the show Anirban Dasgupta, among many others.

However, there has been no announcement about why the delay occurred or whether the show would air after all.

Moreover, in Amazon Prime's recent promo of its upcoming originals for this year, Afsos is conspicuously missing.

Well, we are sure the audience was looking forward to this one. What do you think?
