Mihir Misra rose to fame as Dr Rahul with Star Plus's Sanjeevani - A Medical Boon and lately bagged a doctors' role again in Sony's thriller Akela. Interestingly, the actor is again gearing up to enter Star's afternoon TRP raker Kumkum as a doc!
Kumkum's Creative Director Ritu Goel confirms the news. "Yes, Mihir will be playing the character of Dr.Vikram Kapoor."
The entry of Mihir will bring about a new track altogether. The main protagonist Hussein will be shown suffering from tumour. "I play a doctor who returns from the U.S and is indirectly related to Sumit. He comes down to my clinic for a check up as he is in distress, and a tumour is detected," reveals Mihir. He continues to explain the track, "When the tumour is suspected there is a 50-50 per cent chances of Sumit surviving. So, Sumit continues to hide it from his family. Thats when I come into the picture."
Though Mihir is happy the way his career is shaping up, but he has only one complain, "Well, I would really want to experiment with some other type of character than just playing a doctor. I am desperate for other type of roles, but this is the way it is,"cribs Misra.
Mihir is very anxious about Nach Baliye 2 and says, "I am as excited as I was for the first season. Manninee and myself will be hosting the comedy round. I have never hosted any show, so that doubles my excitement!
Thank God! Mihir has something else to do for a breather. Or else, we would see him portraying doctor roles out of desperation..errr....!
