Savdhan India-it's time to battle crime and bring a change in the society

Crime-based reality shows seem to be the flavor of the season. After Crime Patrol (Sony Entertainment Television) and Gumraah (Channel V), doing wonderfully well in terms of popularity and ratings, here comes another show which treads the similar path. Well, we are talking about Savdhan India on Life OK.
The show is being anchored by Sushant Singh and Gaurav Chopraa. Its first episode went on air yesterday (23 April 2012) at 11pm. The series is a campaign against crime and violence in India, to warn people and make them aware of these inglorious incidents that have happened to others and their environment and could happen to them. It’s to draw the nation’s attention and wake them from their slumber. It’s to make them realize this is not ‘okay’. Furthermore, Savdhan India kick-started with a unique ‘Protest against Crime’ march led by its anchors, Sushant and Gaurav at Jantar Mantar at 10:30 am on 23 April. Delhi’s eminent citizens including Kiran Bedi, Neelam Pratap Rudy, Madhu Jain, Feroze Gujral, Rohit Bal, Hemant Sagar and others were there at the venue to support the cause and the show. Speaking on the development, Ajit Thakur, General Manager, Life OK, says, “We at Life OK believe our families are everything and without them, there’s no fun in life. The best gift we can give to our viewers is to equip them with knowledge on how to safeguard oneself. The gift of family is what we want to share,.” Savdhan India will air every Monday to Friday at 11pm.
