Pratima Kazmi
Pratima Kazmi will soon be seen in a positive avatar in Star Plus' Pratigya. She is currently seen playing a negative character in Uttaran influencing and instigating Tapasya (Rashmi Desai)against Ichcha (Tina Dutta). This time again the actress will be seen in an influential role in Pratigya but for the better. She will enact the character of Gurumaa who apparently is the only woman in Sajjan Singh's (Krishna's father) life who can influence him to alter his decisions. Incidentally, she will ask Singh to change his decision and solemnise the wedding of Pratigya with his son Krishna. Sajjan Singh, who is against the inter-caste marriage, considering he is a Thakur and Pratigya is a Kayastha, apparently will have to change his mind. Producer Pearl Grey says, "Pratima Kazmi will play Gurumaa who is related to Krishna's family. Sajjan Singh, who doesn't respect women and hold them in low esteem, respects and listens only to her. She is the only woman who can make him re-think and change his decisions. There is a major turning point in the show and Gurumaa is back to enlighten Singh with her worldly wisdom. Hers is an out and out positive character. Her entry will be either tomorrow or Monday. She will be on and off the show as per the requirement." Looks like Krishna and Pratigya will soon tie the knot with Gurumaa's blessings.
