MUMBAI: Versatile actor Arshad Warsi is known in Bollywood for his acting skills and comic timing. The actor has given noteworthy movies like the Munna Bhai series, the Golmaal series, and the Dhamaal series had defined comedy.

We love watching all these movies of the actor till today. He is known not only for comedy but also for his intense role in movies like Isqiya, Zila Ghaziabad, Irada, and others.

Arshad Warsi was born in Mumbai on April 19, 1968. His parents died when he was just 14 years old. He did his schooling in Deolali, Nashik. Arshad used to be a national level gymnast during his school days. Apart from this, Arshad has a passion for bikes and he used to be a part of the biker gang.

Arshad worked as a door-to-door salesman selling the cosmetics products during his struggling days. At the age of 17, he also worked in a photo lab.

Arshad is quite a dancer boy too. He was asked to join Akbar Sami’s dance group. This led him to a choreographing career, and he was part of films like Thikana and Kaash as a choreographer.

Arshad is the winner of the Indian dance competition in 1991. He was awarded the 4th prize in the Modern Jazz category in the 1992’s World Dance Championship held in London, at the age of 21.

The actor owned a dance studio of his own named ‘Awesome’, and he has also formed his own dance troupe.

Arshad met his better half in the college festival where he was the judge. Maria Goretti was a participant, and after 8 years of courtship, Maria and Arshad married on Valentine’s Day of 1999.

They have two adorable children, a son Zeke Warsi and a daughter Zene Zoe Warsi.

Arshad Warsi was launched in Bollywood by Big B. He approached Arshad to work as an actor in the movie Tere Mere Sapne made under Amitabh Bachchan Corporation.

Arshad was also associated with the English theatre group in Mumbai performing dance shows for Bharat Dabholkar. It is unknown to most that he has made a small appearance as a dance in the song ‘Aag Se Khelenge’ before he started his acting career.

Arshad became famous after the release of Munnabhai in which he played the role of Circuit. The movie was loved by fans as well as critics. He was nominated for the Best Supporting Actor in the Filmfare awards for the movie.

In the movie Salaam Namaste, Arshad Warsi’s wife Maria, and his son Zeke did a cameo appearance.

The Golmaal series established him in Bollywood as a leading comic actor. However, Arshad considers himself a better serious actor. He has reprised the role of Madhav in 3 more prequels of the hit franchise Golmaal as Golmaal Returns, Golmaal 3, and Golmaal Again.

Arshad hosted the first season of Bigg Boss in 2006.
