MUMBAI: Actors in mythological shows have to shoot in the jungles, under the hot sun and often do things to get into the skin of the character to ensure they give a perfect shot. These outdoor sequences come with their set of challenges and at times actors are also subjected to a life and death situations.
Revealing one such incident, Ashish Sharma who played the lead role in Chandragupt Maurya currently airing on Dangal TV shares, “We were shooting for a scene of Chandragupt Maurya in the jungle, where the Greek Army was supposed to be passing by and I had to climb a tree to hide from them. I was the only one up on the tree and the whole unit was around the tree when we noticed a bunch of cobras coming towards the tree. Everyone panicked and ran away leaving me right there on the tree for an hour. We had to arrange for a snake charmer who helped us manage the snakes and only then was I able to climb down. That was one rattling experience, literally!”
