MUMBAI: AIB’s first feature film Chintu Ka Birthday is all set to premiere in the digital world on ZEE5. The movie stars Vedant Raj Chibber, Vinay Pathak, Seema Pahwa, Reginald Barnes, and Tillotama Shome amongst others.
Produced by AIB’s Tanmay Bhat, Rohan Joshi, Ashish Shakya, and Gursimran Khamba, the film will be released on ZEE5 on June 5.
The movie has been directed by National Award winners Satyanshu Singh and Devanshu Kumar and received its initial premiere in 2019’s Jagran Film Festival.
Chintu Ka Birthday revolves around a six-year-old who is stuck in Iraq during war-time and how his family tries to put together a birthday party for him in that crisis.
Bhat took to Instagram to make the announcement of his first feature film as a producer.

Before announcing this project, AIB revealed in 2019 that they would be ceasing operations until further notice due to problems like lack of funding. The decision was made after some members’ names surfaced in the #MeToo movement.
However, post the controversy, Shakya and Joshi have released their comedy specials on Amazon Prime Video India.
Earlier last year, AIB did screenings in different cities for Chintu Ka Birthday.
