Has Zoya Akhtar’s Made In Heaven Season 2 been called off?

MUMBAI: The audience has been waiting eagerly to watch the offering of the second season of Ritesh Sidhwani and Zoya Akhtar's Made in Heaven. The web series was launched on Amazon Prime and had a stellar star cast of Sobhita Dhulipala, Kalki Koechlin, Jim Sarbh, Arjun Mathur, and Shashank Arora, among others. The plot of the series revolved around wedding planning, and 2019 witnessed it as the biggest show on OTT ever.

Earlier, Zoya Akhtar gave a sneak peek of scripting its season 2, but now, according to the sources, the second season might not be coming out at all. Sources have it that the makers had blocked the lead actors' dates for the second season. However, they recently released their dates. Now that the actors’ dates have been released, it indicates that the shoot is not happening anymore or anytime soon.

Zoya Akhtar had shared a picture of her working on the script of Made In Heaven season 2, back in April. The picture showed that she was working on the eighth episode of Made In Heaven 2.
