MUMBAI : This week’s Instagram King is indeed a heartthrob of the television world.
Barun Sobti is popularly known for his role Arnav Singh Raizada in Star Plus' show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon opposite the gorgeous Sanaya Irani. Their on-screen pairing became a huge hit among the viewers.
While Barun was acing his angry young man avatar in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, the news about the actor quitting the show broke several hearts. Barun wanted to pursue his career in Bollywood and thus decided to bid adieu to TV.
Barun started his acting career with Star Plus' Shraddha in 2009 and later appeared in a negative role in Dill Mill Gayye. He portrayed his first lead role in Sony TV's series Baat Hamari Pakki Hai (2010).
He made his film debut with the romantic comedy Main Aur Mr. Riight (2014) and later worked in the film Tu Hai Mera Sunday (2017).
The fans simply loved his role in Hotstar Originals web series Tanhaiyan (2017) and ALTBalaji's The Great Indian Dysfunctional Family (2018). He was a part of Voot originals Derma (2019) and Asur (2020).
Barun manages to stay in touch with his fans and army of followers. Almost all his posts have got him 50K likes and nearly 150 comments crowning him the Instagram King for the week.
