In a podcast with Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa, Arjun Bijlani revealed his interesting clause before signing the first season of Naagin. Recalling those days, Bijlani mentioned that he was doing Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi as a parallel lead in the show and after a few months, he was offered a lead role in Naagin. However, he asked for an increase in his payment from the makers. But he was told that he would be getting the same amount of money that he earned for his role in Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi.
Arjun mentioned that he wasn't getting a pay hike so he was in two minds about doing the show. But he called the person from the production house and told them to add one extra rupee to his pay cheque and he would do Naagin as a lead. The deal was cracked.
Arjun revealed that the extra rupee symbolized his reflection on personal growth. He mentioned that ever since Naagin, his pay cheque has seen a significant rise.
