Avrodh the Siege Within review: A must watch for every Indian

Sony LIV is back with another gripping series. Let’s review it.

MUMBAI: After delivering some amazing content like Your Honor, Kadakh, and the recent Undekhi, Sony LIV is back. This time, the platform has made a series in the context of patriotism. Directed by Raj Acharya, it features Amit Sadh, Darshan Kumaar, Madhurima Tuli, Neeraj Kabi, Ananth Narayan Mahadevan, and a few others,

The nine-episode series speaks about the revenge of the Indian Army after the Uri attack in 2016. The special taskforce was formed, and under the supervision of the PM of the country, this operation was taken forward. On the ground level, the operation was led by Major Videep Singh, played by the talented Amit Sadh.

The screenplay of the series is amazing. In these nine episodes, there is not a single moment when you will get bored or when your mind will get diverted from the series. This is the magic of the storytelling and wonderful direction.

When it comes to acting, hands down, Amit Sadh has nailed it once again with his powerpacked performance. He fills 'josh' in his jawans and the audience smile. Darshan Kumaar is decent in his part and captures the emotional scenes very well. Bigg Boss fame Madhurima Tuli is good as the news reporter. Neeraj Kabi as NSA Shailesh Malviya has done a great job, and it's always a treat to see his talent. Ananth Narayan Mahadevan as Satish Mahadevan is also decent. The other cast make the series more realistic and effective.

The positives of the series are the realistic and powerpacked performances of the leads, which create magic in the patriotic scenes. The acting is brilliantly braw. In spite of there being a famous Bollywood movienbased on same subject (Uri: the Surgical Strike), this series stands apart completely and makes its own mark. The strong screenplay and direction will take you into the world it the army right from the first scene.

The negatives of the series are that a few action and war scenes looked aclittle fake and animated, which kills the impact.

Overall, this web series is worth watching with your family and will surely make every Indian proud.
