MUMBAI: Tamil comedy legend, meme-icon and gif-king Vadivelu, is planning to debut in a web-series and is currently working with his “Marudhamalai” director, Suraj to make it happen. The series is supposed to be 9 episodes long, venturing into the horror-comedy genre.
Vadivelu, who hasn’t taken up an project for the last 3 years, had previously announced his theatrical comeback in Kamal Haasan’s much awaited movie, “Thalaivan Irukkiraan”. This movie was to be the sequel to Haasan’s 1992 hit, “Thevar Magan”. But the film got postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Because of this, Vadivelu has decided to forge on into the digital stream. Suraj gave him a movie script and the “Chandramukhi” actor was quite impressed by it. Vadivelu himself had suggested Suraj to adapt the screenplay for a web-series as it is the on-going trend at the moment and he agreed.
